My father’s uncle Kanmatsu had two sons that emigrated to Hawaii.

Kanmatsu’s eldest son Kanto (or Kwanto) was born in Nakagusuku, Okinawa on November 18, 1901. His mother’s name was Tsuru. He came to Hawaii in 1914 at 14 years of age.
