FOMO Personality Enneagram 7
Fear of Missing Out - Part of the Thinking Triad
The pandemic has increased the popularity of the Enneagram. But it is more than a personality test. It’s based on ancient teachings and sacred knowledge. Each of the nine personality types of the Enneagram have their own strengths and weaknesses. In addition, the types are interconnected. I have a seven-wing so I understand the fear of missing out (FOMO).
Enthusiastic and adventurous sevens fear that they will miss out in life so they like to try everything. They are extroverted and enjoy the company of others. Unfortunately, they can be scattered and unfocused as they chase adventure and jump on new projects.
Fives, Sixes and Sevens are part of the Thinking Triad and have issues with fear. Twos, Threes and Fours are more emotionally-centered, and Eights, Nines and Ones rely on gut instincts.
Sevens desire to be live life and be happy and they fear being trapped. They struggle with commitment and planning. When stressed, Sevens become perfectionists like Ones and when relaxed, they become more focused, like Fives.
