Family Trip 3 Days in NYC
Spring Break with 2 Teens and a 10 year-old
We had three days in NYC and each of us picked an activity. The youngest wanted to go to the Statue of Liberty, her sister wanted to go to MOMA, the oldest wanted to go to an observation deck, and my husband wanted to go to Central Park. I just wanted to eat at a good restaurant. Once we had an idea of what we wanted to do, I started planning. It took me a week to find a hotel and two weeks to make our itinerary.
The first thing I booked were the tickets to the Statue of Liberty. We were flying on a red eye flight and I didn’t want the pressure of reserving the tickets on the morning of arrival so I planned on going on our second morning. I’m glad that we reserved pedestal access because those tickets quickly sold out. We also got to bypass the huge line to buy tickets at Battery Park.
The next thing I planned was a visit to the Museum of Modern Art MOMA. Our flight came in at 7 in the morning and the museum opened at 10:30 so I thought that we could drop off our luggage, have breakfast and see some sights before getting to the museum.
